Logical Construction:
When considering the longevity of a product, we think in terms of extending its lifespan through increased usage, looking at both materials and construction. We incorporate techniques that promote long-term wear without over-reliance on structural elements that add unnecessary weight.
Beracamy was founded in Paris in 2009 by three women - friends and cousins - who are graduates in Fashion Design and Fine Art from LCF, CSM, and Goldsmiths (London). With upbringings on the outskirts of Paris and in southern England, and our lead designer being of Hakka-Chinese descent, our varied backgrounds and perspectives are central to what Beracamy represents. Today, Beracamy is based in London.
We work with tanneries that adhere to ESG principles and are certified by the Leather Working Group. We use European leather, the majority of which originates from Italy. We are committed to sourcing only materials that stand the test of time, both in durability and wearability. Many of our designs are produced on demand and in small batches. Our primary manufacturer is located in southern China, a region known for having the highest concentration of highly skilled technicians and craftspeople across all of Asia-Pacific. We work exclusively with manufacturers that comply with local labour laws and environmental regulations.
Beracamy is currently implementing a supplier code of conduct and conducting annual inspections to ensure workers’ rights are respected and the environmental impact is properly managed.
